The Athens International Airport S.A.’s request for arbitration in a tax matter brought against the Hellenic Republic was denied by the International Arbitration Court in London: The Arbitral Tribunal, operating under the rules of the LCIA, held that the Hellenic Republic correctly required the Athens International Airport S.A., to pay tax on dividends distributed pursuant to Law 2338/1995 and denied the claimant’s request for refund of taxes paid. The Hellenic Republic was represented in the arbitration by Messrs. Alexander Lykourezos, Angelike Nestorides and Athanasios Kyriakopoulous of Lykourezos Law Offices. Athens International Airport S.A. was represented by Mr. E.Theofanopoulos of E.Theofanopoulos Law Office and Messrs G.Kallimopoulos and V.Voutsakis of Kallimopoulos Loukopoulos Chiotellis Law Firm.
