AndroutsopoulosBorn in Athens, 1976. Education: University of Athens Law School (LL.B., 2006), University of Athens, School of Philosophy, Pedagogy and Psychology, Dept. of Psychology, 2000. Admitted to the Athens Bar in 2008. Member: Athens Bar Association Languages: Greek, English, French Main Practice Areas: Criminal Law and Litigation.

Alexandros practice is mainly focused on criminal law and he has handled a variety of important cases involving racketeering, fraud perpetrated against the Greek State, lewd behavior against minors, internet child pornography and medical malpractice negligence. Concurrently he has acted as counsel in a number of disciplinary proceedings against civil servants, police officers and doctors. He was successful in securing the first unanimous conviction of a doctor for medical malpractice leading to death from the competent Medical Board.

As an associate at Lykourezos Law Offices, Alexandros has handled the criminal aspect of due diligence cases with respect to a major company’s IPO on the New York stock exchange as well as acquisition of a major Greek security company by a multinational group. He has also provided legal support of companies participating in public tenders.

Alexandros is actively involved in animal rights issues. He provides pro bono legal services to the PanHellenic Association for Animal Protection as well as a number of other animal protection associations like stray.gr, straylife, prostatevo.org, etc, and was successful in obtaining the first conviction of a breeder responsible for an illegal pet breeding establishment that mistreated animals.

Finally, Alexandros has been a participant in a variety of conferences mainly focused on criminal law and arbitration.
