Evangelia Besiou

Born Athens, Greece, 1978. Admitted to the Athens Bar Association in 2004. Education: Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Law School (LL.B., 2002), University of Athens Law School (M.A. 2003 in Civil Law), University College UK (LL.M. in Maritime Law 2004), New York University (NYU) (LL.M in Trade Regulation, Intellectual Property, Patent and Trademark Law 2007).Languages: Greek, English, French, Italian.

Evangelia has experience in civil and commercial Litigation, mergers and acquisitions, land law and advising on issues of corporate governance. Her experience includes:

• Corporate Law: foundation and winding up of companies, amendments of articles of association, drafting of contracts, corporate litigation,
• Civil Law: divorces, child custody, alimony, guardianship and litigation),
• Intellectual Property Law: filing for trademarks, copyright, protection of copyright and litigation,
• Immigration Law: naturalization, residence permits, work permits,
• Administrative Law: extradition, administrative litigation against the State and State Departments and
• Tourism Law: Drafting of contracts between hotels and travel agents, dealing with issues on package travel, package holidays and package tours

Evangelia Besiou is a member of Alien and Immigration Law Association (ΕDAM) and has recently been elected to the board of directors of the association and is a member of the editorial team for the magazine “Review of Immigration Law”.
